Gifts of all sizes allow BPSI to attract the brightest clinicians, researchers, and scholars and to train candidates, students, and fellows to uphold the highest standards of psychoanalytic and psychotherapy education and practice.

BPSI is pleased with the outcome of its long-anticipated project of creating a warm and inviting place of community among its students, faculty, and members. Built around 1856, 141 Herrick Road is a Romanesque Revival, Second Empire, 12,540 SF stone masonry, structure and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Brookline based Kaplan Construction was BPSI’s contractor. Included among Kaplan’s many renovations both minor and major were: stone paving replacement, accessibility improvements, life safety systems (installation of full sprinkler and fire alarm systems), and replacement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. A new elevator provides access to all floors, including the renovated lower-level basement with new ADA accessible restrooms. Restroom facilities are also available on the second and third floors.

The building has been transformed it into an open, stylish building with flexible and generous spaces in which ideas can be exchanged in formal and informal settings.  It includes a gracious and inviting foyer, casually furnished community room with an attached kitchen, a dramatic library/ lecture hall with vaulted ceiling, eleven comfortable windowed seminar rooms, first floor office space for the administrative staff, an outdoor terrace, parking and well-lit pathways.

Building BPSI’s Future (BBF) is the capital campaign designed to support and fund the building’s acquisition and renovation.  The BBF campaign has been at the forefront of BPSI’s fundraising and we invite you to contact Carole Nathan for more information about the project and the many ways you can help in Building BPSI’s Future.

Gifts to BPSI’s Annual Appeal are made without any restrictions or designations. This kind of unrestricted giving offers the most flexibility and makes it possible to offer many of our programs/events, provide support for our PiP program/collaboration, offer scholarship funds to trainees, maintain support for low-fee analysis, meet general day-to-day business expenses, and manage new opportunities or respond to unanticipated challenges.
Give to BPSI’s Annual Appeal.

There are many types of gifts which can be made in honor of a loved one, friend, parent, neighbor, care giver or teacher. Large or small, one-time or recurring, honorary, or celebratory, you can pay tribute to the important people in your life by honoring them with a gift to BPSI.

In lieu of accepting traditional presents, consider asking friends or family to make a gift to BPSI, or if you’re a guest at an upcoming celebration, consider making a gift to BPSI on the recipient’s behalf. Not only will you honor them, but you will also make a lasing impact on BPSI’s work.

Consider making a gift in memory of someone important to you. Every memorial contribution is acknowledged and a family member is sent a notification of  gifts received.
