The event organized by Maternal Scholars Australia and held via ZOOM on June 25, 2021 presents a recently published collection of essays, edited by Australian sociologist Petra Bueskens and honoring Nancy Chodorow’s groundbreaking work. Nancy Chodorow and The Reproduction of Mothering: Forty Years is launched by Associate Professor Julie Stephens and features Nancy Chodorow reflecting on her canonical book, its meaning and place in sociology, psychoanalysis and feminism after forty years. The launch also features authors Rosemary Balsam, Adrienne Harris, Elizabeth Abel, Ilene Philipson, Daphne de Marneffe, Meg Jay, Leslie Bell, Jade McGleughlin, Katie Garner and Ursula Fanning discussing their chapters.
