Arnold Modell, MD, is a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and a Clinical Professor of Social Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He is the author of five important books: Object Love and Reality: An Introduction to a Psychoanalytic Theory of Object Relations (1968), Psychoanalysis in a New Context (1984), The Private Self (1996), Other Times, Other Realities: Toward a Theory of Psychoanalytic Treatment (1996), and Imagination and the Meaningful Brain (2006).
