Biographical Note: Isador Henry Coriat was born on December 10, 1875 in Philadelphia. He obtained his medical degree in 1900 from the Tufts Medical College in Boston and became closely associated with psychoanalysis from its earliest days in New England and America. Coriat worked with Morton Prince, then the leader of psychiatry in Boston, and founded the Boston Psychoanalytic Society of which he was president from 1930 to 1932.
