FACULTY AND STUDENTS

FACULTY

The faculty of the Fellowship consists of both psychoanalyst and psychotherapist Members of BPSI. All faculty members are experienced clinicians who seek to bring the richness, excitement, and depth of psychoanalytic thinking into the classroom and to help students bring their understanding into their clinical work.

STUDENTS

Our Fellowship program attracts a wide range of students with diverse backgrounds, united by their commitment to deepening their understanding and clinical work through the study of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Students are clinicians coming from various disciplines, some well into their careers, others just beginning. They include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, pastoral counselors, mental health workers, nurse practitioners, psychology post-doctoral students, fourth-year psychiatry residents or fellows, and others.

Being part of the BPSI community

Fellows are invited to many of BPSI’s scientific and Members programs, and have many of BPSI’s resources available to them.

As BPSI is an Affiliate Institute of the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA), our Fellows may be eligible to join and take advantage of benefits of psychotherapy membership in APsaA. Please visit the APsaA page for more information.

Fellowship Alum Partnership

A partnership is available for five years after completing the Fellowship program. Joining BPSI in this way includes: the BPSI newsletter, invitations to BPSI events, workshops, conferences, and continuing education credits. It also includes access to the Hanns-Sachs library and library services, and the PEP-web.

The Fellowship Alum membership is available for $130.00 per year. Please contact the BPSI administrative office at (617) 266-0953 if you are interested in joining BPSI when you complete the Fellowship program.
