This collection features an assortment of materials, organized alphabetically by personal names and pertaining to the history of psychoanalysis. Consisting mainly of articles, clippings, biographies, and obituaries, the files often provide an important background information on the miscellaneous subjects and notable people not presented by the individual BPSI collections. Several files, containing additional materials for already established BPSI collections, were placed in the Vertical File to help researchers access a quick ready-reference resource without delving into larger archives.

Finding Aid for this collection is posted here (viewing it requires Adobe Acrobat Reader).
